01 — Click prices
What does a Google Ads click cost in Sarasota and Bradenton?
It depends on the trade, and Sarasota does not simply copy Tampa's prices. In October 2026 the high end of the top-of-page bid in Sarasota and Manatee counties ran from about $15 for "lawn care service" to $145 for "ac repair" (Google Keyword Planner). Emergency trades cost the same as in Tampa or less; interior repair, impact windows and senior services cost more.
Same English search, three areas (Google Keyword Planner, October 23, 2026):
| Search (monthly searches here) | Sarasota + Manatee top-of-page bid | Tampa DMA top-of-page bid | U.S. top-of-page bid |
|---|---|---|---|
| drywall repair (260) | $5.70 – $40.00 | $5.32 – $21.53 | $3.02 – $15.40 |
| impact windows (110) | $19.64 – $67.15 | $13.87 – $53.84 | $9.10 – $50.78 |
| home care near me (390) | $4.52 – $22.96 | $3.97 – $18.10 | $3.37 – $15.00 |
| ac repair (1,000) | $48.13 – $145.00 | $43.20 – $140.00 | $18.80 – $101.50 |
| electrician near me (1,600) | $32.58 – $123.46 | $29.14 – $135.00 | $5.73 – $55.00 |
| plumber near me (2,900) | $32.20 – $100.00 | $30.19 – $121.00 | $12.22 – $82.33 |
| roofers near me (720) | $23.92 – $80.00 | $18.84 – $82.50 | $13.79 – $75.00 |
| lawn care service (260) | $4.15 – $14.83 | $4.36 – $14.72 | $3.62 – $14.81 |
"Drywall repair" topped out at 1.9 times the Tampa market's bid and 2.6 times the U.S. bid. "Plumber near me" was cheaper here than in the Tampa market ($100.00 vs $121.00), and lawn care cost the same as anywhere in the U.S. (Keyword Planner, October 23, 2026).
Top-of-page bid is Google's estimate of what advertisers bid to appear above the organic results. The low end approximates the 20th percentile of recent top-of-page bids and the high end the 80th (Google Ads Help). DMA (designated market area) is the media market Google uses for regional estimates. Sarasota and Manatee have no DMA of their own: they sit inside "Tampa-St. Petersburg (Sarasota)." These are estimates, not quotes.
02 — The older buyer
Why do senior services cost more to advertise in Sarasota?
Because there are more older buyers here, and the services they need are worth a lot. About 38% of Sarasota County residents and 29% of Manatee County residents were 65 or older in 2024, against 18% nationally (U.S. Census Bureau via USAFacts). Sarasota and Manatee make up 30% of the Tampa market's searches for "hearing aids near me," but only 12% to 20% of its searches for AC, plumbers and electricians (Keyword Planner, October 2026).
| Search | Sarasota + Manatee | U.S. top bid | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| home care near me | 390/mo · $4.52 – $22.96 | $15.00 | +53% |
| hearing aids near me | 260/mo · $4.81 – $16.83 | $11.12 | +51% |
| walk in tub | 90/mo · $3.43 – $25.16 | $18.88 | +33% |
| assisted living near me | 1,000/mo · $6.70 – $24.12 | $18.37 | +31% |
| stair lift | 30/mo · $2.78 – $7.49 | $15.43 | −51% |
Source: Google Keyword Planner, October 23, 2026; "difference" compares the top of each range (our calculation). Stair lifts cost half the national price here, an opening for a local installer.
The person who clicks often lives elsewhere. "Home care Sarasota" got about 480 U.S. searches a month but only 170 from inside the two counties (Keyword Planner, October 2026), many of them adult children up north who will sign. Switching Google's location option to "Presence" cuts them off. Keep "Presence or interest" for searches that name the town, and judge each state by signed clients.
03 — After Helene and Milton
How did the 2024 hurricanes change ads in Sarasota?
They moved money from the roof to the inside of the house. Hurricane Milton made landfall on Siesta Key on October 9, 2024, as a category 3 hurricane, two weeks after Helene, and caused "major damage in the Sarasota and Tampa Bay areas" (National Hurricane Center). Two years later, one of the clearest gaps is interior repair: "drywall repair" tops out at $40.00 here against $21.53 in the Tampa market.
The NHC's report on Milton (March 31, 2025) puts storm surge at 4 to 6 feet above ground from Longboat Key to Venice, and 6 to 9 feet from Venice south to Boca Grande. That means drywall, flooring, electrical and mold work.
Substantial damage is the floodplain test local building offices apply: if repairs cost 50% or more of the building's pre-damage market value, the house must meet current flood rules, which can mean elevating it (City of Sarasota; Sarasota County). Under 50%, the owner wants a fast repair. Over it, they need an engineer or an elevation contractor, and that buyer barely searches: "house lifting" showed about 10 searches a month here in October 2026. Reach them through referral partners and Meta ads aimed at affected ZIP codes.
Roofing tracks the region: "roofers near me" tops out at $80.00 here, close to Tampa's $82.50. For storm-week planning, see our Tampa page.
04 — Sarasota vs Manatee
Should a Sarasota business advertise in Bradenton too?
Yes, but as a separate campaign, because the two counties price trades differently. In October 2026 Manatee County's top bid for "lawn care service" was $18.41, 63% above Sarasota County's $11.31. Manatee also paid more for plumbers, electricians and pest control, while Sarasota paid more for roofers and hurricane shutters (Google Keyword Planner).
| Search | Sarasota County (Sarasota, Venice, North Port) | Manatee County (Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch) |
|---|---|---|
| plumber near me | 1,600/mo · $31.95 – $99.59 | 1,300/mo · $33.36 – $109.08 |
| electrician near me | 720/mo · $25.20 – $114.93 | 720/mo · $33.93 – $120.48 |
| roofers near me | 390/mo · $20.10 – $82.74 | 320/mo · $26.70 – $72.84 |
| hurricane shutters | 170/mo · $4.38 – $17.45 | 110/mo · $4.65 – $14.29 |
| pest control near me | 590/mo · $11.45 – $45.00 | 480/mo · $12.59 – $52.34 |
| lawn care service | 140/mo · $4.53 – $11.31 | 110/mo · $3.91 – $18.41 |
| hearing aids near me | 170/mo · $4.24 – $17.37 | 90/mo · $5.93 – $16.83 |
Source: Google Keyword Planner, county targets, October 23, 2026. County volumes are small; treat them as a direction. New building also shapes demand: RCLCO ranked Lakewood Ranch No. 2 in the U.S. for new-home sales in the first half of 2026, with Wellen Park (North Port and Venice) at No. 3 (via Sarasota Magazine). New homes bring searches like "pool screen enclosure," with a top bid of $20.03 here vs $12.18 nationally.
05 — Season
When does demand change in Sarasota and Bradenton?
Demand peaks from January to April, when seasonal residents and visitors are in town. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) handled 597,796 passengers in March 2025, the busiest month in its history and 59% above its 2025 monthly average of about 376,000 (our calculation from the airport's 4,514,781 passengers in 2025). Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so storm work lands in the slower months.
| Stage | When | What changes in the account |
|---|---|---|
| Season ramp-up | Oct – Dec | We raise budgets for pool, cleaning, lawn and senior services as seasonal residents return (SRQ: 417,468 passengers in December 2025). |
| Peak season | Jan – Apr | Budgets follow booked jobs by county, and the ad schedule matches staffed hours, because a missed call in March costs the most. |
| Off-season | May – Sep | Seasonal services scale down; out-of-state family campaigns for home care keep running. |
| Storm watch and recovery | 48 hours before, then weeks 1 – 8 | Shutter and generator ads pause once installs can't happen in time. Then water damage, drywall, mold and roof repair ads run against booked jobs, with roofing copy kept inside §489.147. |
We use the airport as the season gauge because we found no current count of seasonal residents. The stages are how we plan accounts, not a forecast. For a budget formula, see how much Google Ads costs in 2026.

07 — Ad rules
Which Florida rules change what a Sarasota ad can say?
Florida writes advertising rules into law, and in Sarasota two sets matter most: contractors and home care. Contractors must show their license number in every ad (§489.119), and roofers face strict limits on insurance-claim ads (§489.147). Licensed home care agencies must also print their license or registration number in every ad, with fines starting at $100 (§400.464).
| Rule | What it says | What it means for your ads |
|---|---|---|
| Fla. Stat. §489.119(5)(b) | The contractor's registration or certification number must appear "in each offer of services, business proposal, bid, contract, or advertisement, regardless of medium." | Roofing, AC, plumbing, pool and drywall contractors: license number in the ad and on the landing page. |
| Fla. Stat. §489.147 | An ad that pushes a homeowner toward a roof insurance claim needs three warnings in at least 12-point type. No gift, cash or deductible waiver may be offered for a roof inspection or claim. | After a storm, sell the inspection and the repair. No "free gift card with your inspection" offers. |
| Fla. Stat. §400.464(4) | A home health or home care provider that advertises a licensed or registered service must include the license or registration number in the ad. The fine is at least $100 the first time and $500 after that. | Home care, companion and nurse registry ads: put the AHCA number in the ad text or extension and on the page. |

09 — Pricing
How much does a PPC agency cost in Sarasota?
U.S. agencies typically charge $1,000 to $5,000 a month for small and mid-sized accounts, or 10% to 20% of ad spend (most often 15%), plus a setup fee of $2,500 to $10,000. Eloari charges a flat fee from $900 a month, with no setup fee, no percentage and no markup on media.
| Tier | Monthly fee | Suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $900/mo | Ad spend under $5,000/mo |
| Growth | $1,500/mo | Ad spend $5,000–$20,000/mo |
| Full | $2,500/mo | Ad spend $20,000+/mo |
Plan on roughly $2,000 to $3,000 a month in ad spend, paid directly to Google and Meta. In a seasonal market, a percentage-of-spend agency raises its fee every March; a flat fee stays the same. Before you sign, read the Florida agency buyer's guide or our Google Ads audit checklist.

It depends on the trade. In October 2026 the top-of-page bid in Sarasota and Manatee counties ran $48.13 to $145.00 for "ac repair," $32.20 to $100.00 for "plumber near me" and $4.15 to $14.83 for "lawn care service" (Google Keyword Planner).
Is Sarasota cheaper than Tampa for Google Ads?
For emergency trades it is the same or a little cheaper: "plumber near me" topped out at $100.00 in Sarasota and Manatee counties against $121.00 across the Tampa market in October 2026. For interior repair and senior services it costs more: "drywall repair" was $40.00 here against $21.53 in the Tampa market, and "home care near me" $22.96 against $18.10 (Google Keyword Planner).
Should I target the Tampa DMA if my business is in Sarasota?
Usually not. Sarasota and Manatee counties are only part of Google's Tampa-St. Petersburg (Sarasota) market: about 16% of its "plumber near me" searches in October 2026 (Keyword Planner). Target the counties, cities or ZIP codes you serve, and run a separate campaign for out-of-state family searches that name your town.
How much does a PPC agency charge in Sarasota?
U.S. agencies typically charge $1,000 to $5,000 a month, or 10% to 20% of ad spend, plus a $2,500 to $10,000 setup fee. Eloari charges a flat fee from $900 a month, with no setup fee, no percentage of spend and month-to-month terms.
When should a Sarasota business spend the most on ads?

Do home care ads in Florida need a license number?
Yes. Florida Statute 400.464 requires a home health or home care provider that advertises a licensed or registered service to include the license or registration number in the ad, with fines of at least $100 the first time and $500 after that. Contractors have the same rule under §489.119.
